parades and celebrations takes place each
year in historic Savannah, Georgia.

The city held its first observance of the
popular holiday in 1813 and its first St.
Patrick's Day Parade in 1818. Over the years
since it has become a time of celebration
and remembrance in Savannah.

This year's parade will attract crowds of close
to a half-million people and participants and
units from all over the world. Savannah's St.
Patrick's Day Parade will begin at 10:15 a.m.
on Saturday, March 16, 2013.
