Massive Furnaces at Tannehill Ironworks
Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park covers
1,500 acres of beautiful Alabama countryside. The
focal point of the park is the Civil War iron operation
that once provided desperately needed iron for the
Confederacy. Beautifully restored, the complex
provides a fascinating look back in time. The park is
also home to the Alabama Iron and Still Museum.
