Little River Canyon in Winter
The winter months provide one of the best times to explore Alabama's Little River Canyon National Preserve. Pine trees and
other evergreens provide a remarkable amount of greenery even during the winter months and the waterfalls and Little River
usually are at their best during this season of the year. In addition, the views of the bluffs and canyon are quite spectacular
during the months when leaves are off the trees and the cooler weather makes for great hiking.
