Wedding Capital of the United States!
Eureka Springs, a beautiful Victorian town in the Ozarks of Arkansas, holds the unique title of
being the per capita wedding capital of the United States. According to some sources, many
more people are married in Eureka Springs each year than actually live in the town!

As a result, weddings are a big business in Eureka Springs. The community offers a wide
range of services for couples coming there to get married, ranging from simple ceremonies at
the location of your choosing to extravagant galas complete with luxurious receptions. In
addition, the charming Victorian city with its numerous hotels, bed and breakfast inns, cabins,
restaurants, carriage rides and beautiful settings is a popular and romantic honeymoon
destination.

Wedding licenses can be purchased at the Carroll County Clerk's Office at the Courthouse in
Eureka Springs for $60 (Note: Cash only, exact change required). There is no waiting period
and no blood test is required. The Clerk's Office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on
Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays (expect holidays or during bad
weather).
